Definitions and method
How the measures on this page are defined.
- Average spread
- Ask minus bid, averaged over the event. Gold and silver are in USD per troy ounce; EURUSD is in pips.
- Tick volume
- The number of price updates during the event. More updates mean the quote kept refreshing while the market moved.
- Ticks per second
- Tick volume divided by the length of the measured period in seconds. It is derived from the tick count, not measured separately.
- Quote uptime
- The share of the measured period in which a two-sided quote was available.
- Fill ratio
- The share of client orders that were filled.
- Execution time
- The average time taken to fill an order, in milliseconds.
- Book depth held
- Depth available during the event, as a percentage of normal depth.
- Comparable providers
- Three liquidity providers that also supply Match-Prime, anonymised. They are not necessarily the same three in every report. Their figures are published to show how prices held, not as a ranking.
