A public vote named Match-Prime best in APAC. Our reading is that our gold performance, on the days when holding a price was hardest, is a large part of why.
On 8 October, Match-Prime was voted Best B2B Liquidity Provider - APAC 2026 at the UF AWARDS APAC. A vote has many reasons behind it, and we will not claim to know all of ours. But we would like to think one of them is this: we publish our figures from the market days that matter, set out below, so a broker in the region could see how we performed, and check it.
Here is the record from recent market-stress days. Each figure is an average over a stated window, against three comparable prime-of-prime providers over the same window.
Gold is where this counts most, as one of the largest instruments in many broker books, and the table shows our gold spread was the lowest of the set on every day we measured it. We have since lowered our standard gold spread to around 10 cents in EU and US trading hours. A liquidity provider is judged on more than gold spreads. But carrying a lower one through the days that cost a broker the most is, in our view, a fair part of what Best B2B Liquidity Provider should mean.
A record like that is not luck. It comes from years of investment in three places, all built and run in-house:
- Aggregation and routing that move pricing to live sources when one degrades. When Globex halted on 28 November 2025, that is what kept our gold feed printing while others thinned out.
- HawkEye, our risk engine, which acts during the live session on activity that breaches the agreed terms, at the level of the one trader concerned, so the rest of the book holds.
- A dealing desk staffed to hold client terms steady through an event. On 30 January, gold's worst day in over forty years, it changed no client's limits, margin or trading hours while the session ran.
We are still investing in all three, because the market keeps raising what holding up under stress takes. We build and own the whole stack, from the aggregation to the risk engine to the dealing room, and that is the ground we choose to compete on. We intend to keep publishing these figures, whatever the result.
